Welcome to the website of St Ann's Catholic Church, Cheadle Hulme. I hope that you will find lots of helpful information here. This is a very active parish (please browse the pages listing parish groups and activities) and also a very friendly and welcoming community, so if you're not already a parishioner we should love you to visit us - in person as well as on this website.
In addition to Sunday and weekday Mass times, you'll also usually find the church open all day long for quiet prayer and adoration, except during school holidays, when the Adoration rota can't so easily be kept up. Do call in for a few moments of prayerful peace. (Find out how to get to us below.)
Belatedly as ever, I've just taken out of this welcome message a few lines about Christmas (I hope it was as good for you as it was for me) and now find myself looking once again towards Lent - Ash Wednesday is fast approaching, on 22 February. Now, that thought may not exactly fill us with feelings of pleasurable anticipation, yet of course Lent is a necessary and richly rewarding preparation for the most important and joyful festival of all, our celebration of Christ's victory over sin and death at Easter - the reason, in a sense, for the Birth we have just celebrated. May Lent bring us closer to Jesus in our hearts.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with us all.
